‘5’ Food Hygiene Rating Achieved
At Lark View Care Home in Thanington, near Canterbury, we have always been proud of the high standards across our home.
This was further demonstrated recently when we were graded a 'Food Hygiene Rating' of 5, the highest possible grade, following an inspection from the Food Standards Agency.
When it comes to food and dining, we strive for a 5-star service. Whether it's providing residents with a delightful afternoon tea, or offering variety and choice with our menus, our resident's nutritional needs, dietary requirements, and personal favourites are always taken into consideration.
Our meals are made using only the finest ingredients and not only are delicious but beneficial to our residents health and wellbeing. As well as offering residents variety and choice in what they eat, we also have several areas around our home where residents can enjoy their food and drink.
Whether residents want to dress up and join their friends in one of our dining rooms, or fancy some time to themself with our in-room dining, the choice is entirely theirs. In the warmer months, we encourage outdoor dining, and if our residents want to celebrate a special occasion with their family, then they have complete use of our private dining room.
For family celebrations, we encourage residents to speak to our kitchen team who will help them in putting together a lovely meal, whatever their requirements.
Our care home takes pride in making dining a key part of the day, one that is inclusive for all residents and can be enjoyed the way it should be. We want to congratulate our dedicated kitchen team on this outstanding result that they have achieved.
