Celebrating Christmas With a Festive Party!

This December, Lark View was filled with laughter, music, and the warm spirit of the season as residents, staff, and families came together for our annual Christmas party. The festive afternoon was a delightful opportunity to celebrate the holidays as one big family, with a variety of heartwarming activities to enjoy.

The event featured a wonderful live performance from one of our talented carers, Matthew, who played the piano and sang beautifully for our residents. His performance added a truly special touch to the celebration and through resident feedback earned him a well-deserved “Passionate” badge, recognising his dedication to embodying the core values of Lark View Care Home.

A standout moment of the day was when John, one of our residents, dressed as Santa Claus to deliver presents – a role he embraced with great enthusiasm, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. Meanwhile, residents from the Marlowe floor showcased their hard work and festive cheer by performing “Last Christmas” by Wham! They spent many weeks practising and perfecting their performance and didn't miss a beat on the day.

Our kitchen team went above and beyond for the party to prepare a delicious buffet, which was enjoyed by everyone in attendance. There was a selection of both savoury and sweet treats, all tailored to the unique needs and preferences of our residents.

Our festive party allowed residents to spend quality time with friends and family in a warm and welcoming environment, filled with the joy of togetherness. Many shared how much they appreciated the opportunity to come together, with one resident describing it as “an afternoon to remember.”
