In-Home Church Services Begin at Lark View

On Thursday 9th November we held our very first in-home church service conducted by Rev. Nick of St Nicholas Church Canterbury and his curate Clarissa.

We have organised to host regular in-home church sessions here at Lark View Care Home in Thannington at the request of several of our residents. Residents are invited to join us for services which are helf in either our café or one of our lounges.

We have a strong connection with the church due to previous volunuteering work we completed whlst our care home was being built, so it is wonderful that we can keep building on this community relationship and provide this service to our residents in the comfort of their own home.

This community resource provides great benefit to our residents, who have clearly expressed their spiritual needs. Enursing our residents can continue practicing their religion can benefit them in numerous ways, including maintaing routine and traditions, supporting them to feel valued and connected, and strengthens the relationships with those around them.

At Lark View Care Home, we place great importance on the needs, wishes, interests and preferences of all of our residents. Through person-centred care and a thoroughly planned activities programme, we can ensure that the needs of residents are met, and their expectations exceeded.

We look forward to holding more services in the future and inviting relatives and members of the community to join us.
